Someone once said to my wife and I that opening a puppy store is a great business idea because “the puppies sell themselves.” The thing is, that’s not the kind of place we want to own. It’s easy for someone to walk in and fall in love with all the adorable little puppies, but we don’t want you to come here and just grab the cutest puppy you can find.

When you come to The Puppy Burrow we want to help you find the right puppy—the one that will enhance your life the most, the breed that is truly meant for you and your family. My wife and I have spent the better part of the last decade working with puppies and their owners. We decided to open The Puppy Burrow not only because we love animals but also because we genuinely like people, and we both feel there’s nothing better than helping to bring those two things together.

We’d also like you to know that we abhor puppy mills and believe they should all be shut down! When you take home a puppy from us, you can be assured that he came from a USDA licensed, certified breeder. We also check all our breeders agricultural inspection reports to make sure that they have had no infractions. Each puppy has already been vet-checked, microchipped, dewormed and comes with a health guarantee. While the puppies are in our care, they all get plenty of socialization, play-time and lots of snuggles. We truly love all our puppies and strive to find them the best homes.

When you leave The Puppy Burrow, whether or not you’ve found the puppy meant for you, we want you to feel like you’ve found a new friend. And when you do choose the perfect puppy, know that you’ll always go home with our personal cell phone numbers for any questions you have or advice you need.

Our Promise

Our motto here at The Puppy Burrow is “We find perfect puppies the perfect homes.” It’s just another way of saying that our number one goal is to ensure that, when our puppies go home, they are going to their fur-ever families.

However, we do understand that sometimes things change. Bad things can happen in life, and it’s possible that, at some point, it might become necessary for you to find your puppy a new home. Of course, the idea of any of our beloved babies ending up in an animal shelter is horrifying. Therefore, when a puppy goes home, we make sure every family understands that if they cannot keep their puppy/dog, they are to contact us so that we can help find their puppy a new home.

While we are aware that breeders and shelters offer you the option of returning/surrendering your puppy back to them if it does not work out, we are not able to allow your puppy to come back into the store, as it poses a health risk to all our other puppies. We ask that you keep your little guy or girl while we help you find his/her next home. In this way, you and the new owner can come to an agreement on whatever rehoming fee you are comfortable with.

The Puppy Burrow does not charge for this service, and we do not take any of the rehoming fee—there is no benefit to us, other than the knowledge that we are doing the right thing by offering a lifetime of commitment and support to our puppies.
